Glen Brand Iowa Hall of Fame
Class of 2003

Twenty-nine of the greatest figures in Iowa wrestling history were inducted into the new Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa on March 2-3.

The inductee list includes all 12 Iowa wrestlers who won four state championships in high school, all 13 wrestlers who won either an Olympic or World title, and four special contributors.

"This is a very exciting day in the history of Iowa wrestling," said Rod Brown before the event. "This first year, we will be honoring the most successful wrestlers in the state's long and illustrious past on the high school and international levels. Next year, the inductions will focus on the college level."

“On the Mat” is a weekly wrestling radio program that airs every Wednesday night. The broadcast can be heard live from 6-7 p.m. Central Standard Time. The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum in Waterloo, Iowa, hosts the show.

“On the Mat” can be heard live on the Internet at www.kcnzam.com or locally in Northeast Iowa on 1650, The Fan. Feel free to e-mail radio@wrestlingmuseum.org with questions or comments about the show.
