Earl McCready

Earl McCready was the first wrestler to ever win three collegiate championships, claiming NCAA titles at heavyweight for Oklahoma A&M in the years 1928, 1929, and 1930. He never lost a wrestling match in college and also played on the A&M football team.

A native of Saskatchewan, Canada, Earl made the 1928 Canadian Olympic team, participating in the Amsterdam Games. He was selected to be the flagbearer for the entire Canadian national championships and the British Empire Games.

Earl turned pro in 1930 and worked all over Canada and the northwestern United States, and was well known for his clean style of wrestling. He was extrememly popular in New Zealand, Australia, England, and South Africa.

He is a member of six hall of fame and is considered by many to be the greatest amateur wrestler ever to come out of Canada. Beset by physical problems, including diabetes, McCready retired from the ring in 1958 and lived in Edmonds, Washington, the remainder of his life. He died on December 9, 1983.

Antonio Inoki

Kanji Inoki was born in Yokohama, Japan, but was raised in Brazil, where his family worked on a coffee plantation. He returned to Japan to train to be a professional wrestler under the guidance of Rikidozan, who renamed him Antonio Inoki. He became a mixed martial arts star and founded New Japan Wrestling, challenging some of the top martial artists in the world to matches.

His most famous fight came against the great Muhammad Ali on June 26, 1976, in Tokyo, and was broadcast live by satellite around the world. The fight went to a 15-round draw.

The King of Palaui, an island in the Pacific Ocean, was so impressed by the fight that he gave Inoki an island. In 1989, Inoki ran for the Japanese Congress and won. he campaigned for peace around the world, and met with Fidel Castro in Cuba and other world leaders. He began peace festivals in Iraq and North Korea.

After winning many wrestling titles, including the WWF world heavyweight crown, he retired from competition in 1998. Over 70,000 fans, including Muhammad Ali, crowded into the Tokyo Dome to see his last match.

Millions around the world look upon Antonio Inoki as both a wrestling genius and a wrestling legend.

Jerry Brisco

A native of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Jerry Brisco comes from a famous wrestling family and a famous wrestling state. He was a three-time state placewinner in the Oklahoma high school tournament and wrestled at Oklahoma State University, a college that is the proud possessor of 34 NCAA team championships.

Jack Brisco, Jerry's older brother, was NCAA champion at Oklahoma State and became NWA world heavyweight champion. Jerry followed his brother into the professional ranks and carved out a tremendous reputation for himself. He won many regional titles and in 1981 became NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion of the world. He and his brother also claimed the world tag-team championship.

Jerry held the WWF Hardcore title in 2000. After retiring from the ring, he fashioned a successful career in the front office of the WWE. He travels the nation scouting for fresh talent and has helped develop some of the best WWE stars.

Living today in Tampa, Florida, Jerry Brisco has teamed with Jack to become the first brother act ever selected for the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, as Jack was inducted in 2001.

Brad Rheingans

A native of Appleton, Minnesota, Brad Rheingans has one of the most impressive amateur resumes of any professional wrestler ever. He won eight national titles in Greco-Roman wrestling and was an NCAA champion for North Dakota State University .

Rheingans also made two Olympic teams, placing fourth in 1976. He won a bronze medal in the 1979 world championships and was a favorite to win a medal in the U.S boycotted 1980 Olympic Games. He also won gold medals in two Pan-American Games.

Brad wrestled professionally for nearly 14 years and was one half of the AWA world tag-team championship team, with Ken Patera. He won several other titles and earned respect for his clean-cut image and wrestling style.

After injuries forced him from the ring, he continued as a top-flight trainer and booker, working mostly in Japan . One of the strongest wrestlers to ever step in a ring, he is a member of several halls of fame.
