From left: Ben Peterson, Chris Taylor (cutout), Tina Pihl, and Collin Moulton.

Peterson was a two-time NCAA champion for Iowa State University in 1971 & '72. He was also a three-time Olympian, winning gold in 1972, silver in 1976 and was a member of the 1980 team that did not compete due to the U.S. boycott. You can visit Peterson's website by clicking here.

Taylor was a two-time NCAA champion for Iowa State in 1972 & '73. He was a member of the 1972 Olympic team in freestyle and Greco-Roman. Taylor placed third in the freestyle portion and was one of six U.S. wrestlers to win a medal. Taylor, who died in 1979 at the age of 29, remains the heaviest athlete to compete at the Olympic Games.

Pihl wrestled at the last chance Olympic Qualifier event in Waterloo at the 147.5 pound weight class. After her last match she left her shoes on the mat, symbolizing that she would no longer compete in wrestling. She celebrated her retirement with a trip to the Gable Wrestling Museum. You can visit her website by clicking here.

Moulton was in town to perform a stand up comedy routine at Joker's in Cedar Falls. Moulton competes in Brazilian jiu-jitzu at 180-190 pounds (there are no formal weight classes). His stand up routines have been featured on Comedy Central. You can visit Moulton's website by clicking here.
