The Gold Club

Amateur wrestling fans and supporters can join the Gold Club through a donation to the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum. In return for the donation, Gold Club Members will receive the following:

  1. A beautiful 18x24, full-color print entitled Munich 1972, showcasing Dan Gable against a Soviet Union wrestler in Dan's final match of the 1972 Olympics. The prints are limited to 250. They are numbered and signed by both Dan Gable and the artist, Marvin Campbell.
  2. A beautiful 18x24, full color print entitled The Sport of Lincoln, showcasing Abe Lincoln at the age of 23 in a wrestling match in 1831 in New Salem, Illinois. The prints are numbered and signed by the artists, Jack and Carole Bender. There is also a facsimile Lincoln signature and a description of the match.
  3. The names of all Gold Club members will be placed on the wooden plaque in the Lincoln Lobby at the entrance to the Museum.
  4. All Gold Club members will receive a handsome membership card for their wallet.
  5. All Gold Club members will receive VIP treatment at all DGIWIM events, such as the Dan Gable Classic and the annual induction banquet for members of the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Hall of Fame.
  6. All Gold Club members receive a life-time free pass to the museum!

The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum is a not-for-profit corporation accepting donations of any amount. Donations to the museum are tax deductible. Gifts to the International Wrestling Institute and Museum are tax deductible insofar as they exceed the value of goods or services rendered. Gifts are 100 percent deductible if a signed waiver of benefits is submitted in writing at the time of making the donation.

 


 

“On the Mat” is a weekly wrestling radio program that airs every Wednesday night. The broadcast can be heard live from 6-7 p.m. Central Standard Time. The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum in Waterloo, Iowa, hosts the show.
